OK, I'll have some time off at home with the kids next month, there's lots of fruit from the garden (cherries, gooseberries, blackcurrants) and I've got a vision of me being a perfect 'Nigella' domestic sort of mum, making home-made jam.
Any ideas and tips from anyone who's made jam/jelly please? I never have. All I know is you have to boil it for ages. Do I need lots of equipment?
Or should I just abandon the idea, try and palm the fruit off on my colleagues, and go to the pool instead?
