How about 1 hour 40 minutes and then see if it is cooked enough for your tastes?

How do you like it could 2.5 hours is a very long time for a kilo of beef.

To explain further - I hour for the first kilo, a generous 10minutes for the extra 80 gms + 30 minutes as recommended.

15 mins per lb plus 15 mins for rare, 20 for medium and 25 for well done. Or use a meat thermometer

I MUST get my head round this. 1000 grammes make up a kilo? We like it really well done. Meat thermometers? Blimey!
