Bollocks, help rescue my lemon drizzle

OK so generally good cook but hopeless when comes to reviving disasters. Lemon drizzle tested and taken out of oven seemed fine. Put a little icing on to melt etc and came back to add remainin icing and has collapsed in middle and totally uncooked. Have put in oven again on slightly lower setting hoping it will revive, may have to foil over outside edges as seems done there...help

YM, are you free for a MN meetup on Tuesday 1.30 pm (1 May) at the museum? Hope so!

No idea about the cake, sorry! FWIW (not much), I'd have done the same as you...

oh no!

Well, I'm going to be in your neck of the woods a lot, so I'm sure we can make a plan another day. Will keep you posted.

Good luck with the cake.....

Hope you have a good time and the implant is going well. Look forward to catching up next time.

On the subject of the cake I have successfully saved it except for the cave in effect in the centre. Was thinking could fill this with berries, would they work with lemon, they are all I have, no cream etc.

I like that combination of berries and lemon as long as there's plenty of sugar too.

Implant has settled in nicely but I'm still stone deaf - switch-on is Monday which is when we find out whether it's worked or not!

Hope to see you and ds soon
