Am going to endevour to make some nice chocolate cookies for my dd's 1st birthday party - can anyone suggest a recipe?

I'd like them to be baby friendly (i.e not too hard!) so the little one can have a couple but yummy enough for the grown ups to enjoy!

Any suggestions gratefully recieved

Not realy for children of 1 year old but it is to die for.....

125g butter
125ml sugar
1 large egg
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
2 teaspoons of vanilla essence

Preheat oven 180 degrees celcius
Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg. Sift flour and baking powder and add. Add vanilla. Mix to form soft dough.
Take a bit of dough and roll into a ball. Press it flat. Put a block of chocolate in the middle of dough and cover it with the dough. Make sure chocolate is covered.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm........................Enjoy!

Take a block of a slab chocolate. you can try different ones - with nuts, pepermint crisp exc.
