have treid delia's recipe and it was a disaster. made it from a magazine recipe a few times and rose perfectly, delicious. only i can't find the mag now and we need to eat soon

can anyone help me out please?

Too late for Friday tea but here's my recipe (Trial and error, not a particular one).
Heat oil in roasting pan at about 190'c (Oven needs to be already hot)for about 7 mins, then add pricked sausages, turn them so well coated in oil and return pan to oven for about 20 mins to start to brown.
Liquidise/whisk about 4oz plain flour, pinch of salt, 1 egg and 1/2 pint milk until smooth. Pour over batter and cook for about 40 mins until batter is risen and crispy.
We like to add a few chopped veg - carrots, courgette, mushrooms to pan at same time as sausages.
