FREEZER QUESTION

Just went to the freezer and the boxes all have ice on top and the chicken pie when i took it from the box had some ice on as well.
My door was shut and everything was still frozen.
is mean at some stage maybe the door was'nt shut properly and then when it was everything has been re frozen.
Not sure whether to eat the pie if this is the case.

Sounds like the door was left open but it takes ages to completely defrost a freezer and contents and you can tell - pools of frozen water on the freezer floor etc, icecream oozing out of cartons. I would guess from your description that it just got a bit defrosted, no worse (for example) than taking a frozen meal home from the supermarket on a warm day and putting it in the freezer when you get home.

Personally I would cook it well (give it an extra ten minutes) and eat it - but that's just me. And I am not old, pregnant or immune compromised.

mine was like this the other day - cooked fish regardless. was fine.
