does anyone know the recommended age for giving kids peanut butter (or even if there is a recommended age)? DD2 is 18 months now - DD1 been eating it for ages but can't remember how old she was when I first gave her some. TIA

I think it's 3 years if there are are allergies in your family. Otherwise over 1 is fine - smooth stuff not crunchy. mmmm I'm hungry now.

My friend who's a nurse in an allergy research lab (very handy!) said you can try a little bit of it at about a year to check for allergies - smooth obviously as mudda says (
