Best ever tomato based pasta sauce recipes please!!

Any suggestions on a really great tasting tomato based pasta sauce?

I've been using the same one for years now, and pretty bored with it!!

Fry an onion till soft, add a chopped clove of garlic.

chop up 5 or 6 big toamtoes (don't bother peeling). Add some black pepper and some fresh oregano.

Add a jar of green pesto and some tomato puree. Cook on low for about 20mins until toamtoes have gone to mush.

It is more tomato tasting than pesto tasting.

onion, garlic, tin of anchovies chopped up, tin of tomatoes, sprinkle of tabasco or chilli et voila!

no fishiness - just lovely savouryness.

add a bit of sugar and always a little balsamic vinegar - makes it even yummier

Fry onion, grlic and smoked bacn/lardons
add tinned tomatoes, tomatoe puree
marigold stock
red wine
pinch sugar
basil
season with salt and black pepper
simmer for 45mins

Buy la scala sundried tomato paste, mix with creme fraiche. It's yummy, I bung in olives and mushrooms but you could add anything you like.
