The only way I could get ds to eat chicken this evening was by telling him it was.......

cow's tongue!!!!!!!!!

and he gobbled it up!

He ate cow's tongue when we were in Italy and he loved it so I conned him tonight and he ate a full meal with rice and veg!

Was I wrong? Do I care that I was wrong?

i told ds that chicken kievs were fish once to get him to eat them

but tongue is much funnier

I once got mine to eat tongue (god knows where it came from, DH must have bought it, he is sick) by calling it "special ham"

i get ds to eat smoked mackerel by calling it 'brown fish'

which sounds much worse than 'smoked mackerel'

in our house prawns are called 'special chicken' (weird as she won't actually eat 'real' chicken..)loving the idea of cow tongue! DD is currently obsessed with eyeballs when we have fish and last time we had prawns tried a little eyeball!

My DD4 is going through an 'odd' phase. My best chance of success at getting her to eat something, is to say it's Dragons' tails or Witches' sick.

my girls call most fish and chicken dishes fishen nuggets but I think if they eat it they can call it whatever they like!

We call fishfingers 'burgers' to ds2 (2.4) so he eats them!

we call fish "baby chicken".

When dd went through this phase, she would only eat chcken if I called it kangaroo. She's a strange child!
