special rice for rice pudding?

okay, here I show my non-English roots! do you have to use a special kind of rice to make rice pudding or will any kind (like basmati) do?

I think it's meant to be "Pudding Rice" (although as it looks identical to risotto rice I've wondered if you can use that instead...) it's kind of roundish rather than long and thin.

special rice, i think it may even be called pudding rice? The grains are shorter and fatter than long-grain or basmati.

you get proper pudding rice as far as i know- but someone will tell you if you can use any rice!

Just a note about the making of rice pudding! When you measure out the rice and the liquid, it will look like you have far, far, FAR too much liquid. Trust me, the measurements on the packet are right and it will work!! Enjoy
