I've got some homemade chicken meatballs in my freezer for 8-month-old ds and am wondering... do I need to defrost and then heat them till piping hot etc, or can I just defrost them overnight in the fridge and serve cold (they are already cooked, obv)?

well techinically you can serve them in the latter fashion but they may be a bit soggy

and is cold meatballs a sensation you want to cultivate in such a young and untarnished palate

Thanks. I gave him some straight from the fridge last time when I was in a hurry and he seemed to really like them... so think I've already tarnished his palate by being disorganised, tbh. I'm hoping it means he will be unfussy rather than developing an addiction to cold meatballs.
