Can it be adapted to be Marslady's orange drizzle cake - or any other fruit?

Made it this week it was delish. Want to make more but family may get fed up of lemons.

I have made lime drizzle before, so I dont see why not.

She does a chocolate version (not fruit I know but good all the same).

I did it with chocolate which was gorgeous. Have also done it plain.

Yes it can be adapted! You do an orange and chocolate drizzle, a lemon and lime, a lime drizzle.

Chocolate version: replace lemon zest with 3 tbs cocoa powder and some melted chocolate (pop large chocolate bar in the microwave...but watch it so it doesn't burn) and cook for slightly less time. For topping melt another large chocolate bar in microwave, add a dollop of oil and pour over cake and leave to set. Or instead of oil mix it with icing sugar (though you may need bits of warm water).
