Now that summer is here, I just wanted to share my favorite snack with everyone. I bought a couple of do it yourself ice lollie makers (a plastic cup and a stick also works) and I keep a ready supply of homemade ice lollies in the freezer. I make them with real juice of various flavors...pineapple, apricot, cranberry, apple,etc. They are a fraction of the price of store bought ones and so much healthier. All my step kids (8,9,13) and all the neighborhood kids love them. And my ds (18 mo.) has been eating them since he was 7 mo. old.
Also another great healthy summer snack is frozen grapes. Just wash the grapes,take them off the stems, let them DRY and put them in the freezer. Make sure you use really sweet SEEDLESS grapes.
