I made minced beef casserole on Monday night with a view to freezing it for later dinner on a rushed night....BUT I forgot to put it in the freezer! It has been in sealed container since Monday night - will it be safe for tea tonight?

i wouldn't use it. what's £5 worths of food compared to possible tummy ache for everyone?!
was the meat fresh or frozen? if frozen, i'd say don't eat it. if fresh, take a gamble and heat it up at a really high tempt. in the oven first and eat it straight away.

It was fresh bought that afternoon from asda - still a good week to best before date.

I cooked it, poured it into sealed container then let it cool a bit and put it straight into fridge - just forgot to freeze it.

Carla you will be mucho impressed I made - Spaghetti Bolognaise, a shepherds pie and minced beef casserole!!! Thought I may as well go for it and treble up on mince and onion so I have plenty of meals in.

This is in my attempt to become more organised on work nights.

The kitchen was like a frigging bomb site afterwards and I forgot I only have 3 pans!

if it was fresh then by all means eat it and enjoy! Bon apetit!
