How old were your kids when they had their first Mcdonalds?

Or KFC, Burger King etc.

Just felt like starting a possibly contraversial (can I even spell?) thread!

The thing with MacDonalds in this town is that it's right next to the docotors.

And if you have to get your child an emergancy appointment for the GP, it will be at 5.30, after the surgery has finished. And if you live a 45 minute walk away, that means you have to start getting ready, with 2 kids, to leave the house at 4.30, and then you are always 20 minutes late in to the doctor, so it's 6pm when you get out - cue 45 minute walk home - it's bedtime!

So I could put something in the slow cooker, or I could make a delicious falafel pack up, but macdonalds is easier, and ds1 is mollified by the toy.

Eldest went for her first and only time at age 4.

No. 2 went at age 7 and again once at age 9. Has been just those two times.

No. 3 went once at age 6.

They are now 14, 12 and nearly 10.

Each occasion was a friend's party.

Haven't ventured to McD's yet, Dh hates it with a passion and would kill me! DS's are 3 and 1 and they will go in the future as I went to Uni with a girl who had never had any kind of fast food in her life due to strict parents and LIVED off burgers/chips/takeaways as a result, she had awful skin as a result!
