Shopping day tomorrow ! ( woo hoo! )

am boooooooooooored of the same food

what do you buy? firm family favourites? easy and quick to cook ? soups ? casseroles? roasts?

don;t eat pork, but anything else is good !!

inspiiiiiiire me to feed my family something other than ommlettes, pasta, soup & chicken in honey & soy this week please !!!

and as cheap as chips please !

have you got the Tana Ramsey cook book?
lots of nice family meals in there.

we tend to have things like...

roast chicken
rissotto
roasted butternut squash soup
fishpie
spaghetti carbonara
chicken & butterbean casserole
lime & ginger salmon with noodles
cous cous with roasted veg
lamb burgers
spag bol
salad nicoise

Lulu, if you want any curry cooked from scratch then Kelly is the mumsnetter to look out for.

I just use a jar of Patak's (which is excellent btw) but may not be suitable for those with nut allergies.

last night was turkey breast roast, broccoli and roasted new potatos, tonight is chicken and spinach wraps !

Sounds yum.

Having paella tonight, prawns, a bit of leftover chicken, stock, peas, spring onion and peppers (think a recipe from the dinner ladies book!) Last night we had ham in cola! Now need inspiration for cheaper meals...

yum. We're having tuna steaks with roasted veg and cous cous. Lurve thinking about my dinner all day. Almost feel sorry for dh that he never knows what he's going to eat until it appears on the table

have bought some interesting mixed wild rice too and have asked for a slow cooker for our wedding anniversary so want to start getting to grips with good recipes for that !
