can I still eat this?

I froze a chicken the other day and took it out of the freezer yesterday morning. I put it in the microwave so the cat could not get it and then left it there. I remembered it this morning and it was defrosted and no longer cold. Will it be ok to eat. I have now put it in the fridge and obviously dont want to poison anyone. What would you do? Feed the family for mothers day or bin it?

tricky one

I'm sure the right thing to do is not use it

but I would be wavering is it still cold inside?

and how biig is it?

and was it frsh butcher or fresh supermarket or organic etc

if it smelt all right I would eat it

I wouldn't eat it, not if it had been out all night. Cook it and give it to the cat! then book a table pronto at your favourite restaurant for lunch, easy peasy.......

Thanks. I know my mum would say eat it as she is very much like that and would eat anything. Im a bit more wary, especially as they are all coming here today. Like the restaurant idea though.

Hmmm, wouldn't mess with a chicken tbh. If it had been beef I would have said to go for it, but been poisoned by chicken before so I'd say no don't eat it.

I wouldn't - had food poisioning on Xmas day from chicken once - not nice.....

Right, in the bin it goes. Thanks ladies. Will send DH out to buy a nice join of beef and leave him to cook it as well!
