God, hope not, ds eats prawns quite regularly. He's 18 months.

DD was eating prawns well before two years old and probably from around a year old I would have thought.

Just googled and all the advice seems to vary - seen some saying from 6 months, so ???

PanicPants · 15/03/2007 21:09

Oh.

2 years? Bugger.

Hulababy · 15/03/2007 21:11

This says 7-9 months So do lots others unes there is a history of allergies in the family.

DebitheScot · 15/03/2007 21:15

so it seems (as with a lot of other things) that it depends who you ask.
We have no allergies in family and ds hasn't reacted to anything so maybe I could try him with them. He's 10 months

i always base weaning on "by 12 months they can (and should) be eating anything with the exception of whole nuts, (so long as not too salty etc!)

i must admit although it said twoyears in the book ive go tmy dd ate much younger than this[we have no history of shellfish allergies] and now age absolutely adores all shellfish, i must admit she was having almost everything from months but that was us and imnot saying everybody should follow the same rule , i think commomsense prevails here.
