Abel & Cole - the greener grocer

Just had a leaflet through from Abel & Cole - does anyone get a veg and fruit box from them? Is it any good? Value for money? I'd like to be greener and not have to go to the supermarket for my fruit and veg, but heard bad things about some of these deliveries so wanted MN wisdom before venturing in...!!

Or does anyone use a wonderful supplier they'd like to recommend?

I got a flyer through as well yesterday. I rang them cos obviously I am at work all day and wouldn't be in to take delivery. They said I could send them a key for my garage and they can leave boxes in there.

I'll deffo be using them.

thanks, I'm in Bristol. I presume they use local suppliers though anyway? Maybe I should ask this!!!

Have been using them for a small mixed organic box every two weeks for about 6 months now. They seem to be very good and the stuff is always fresh. Great juicing fruit! I work full time as well and they leave the box under an upturned recycle box for me.

Nothing but praise for them here.

fyi all. I had one lot of fruit that was past it's best, phoned them just to let them know and the immediately informed me that it was not their policy to charge for any items that are uneadable and credit me the amount for that item. They also asked that if I have this happen every again pls call as they log all calls and review any issues once amonth. Very impressed with the customer service.

agree - v good cust service and always refunded when fruit wasnt great but had it repeated quite a few times.
