Hi I have family over for tea tomorrow and want to do a basic ceasar salad to go with a pasta bake and garlic breads. I know I could just go to M&S and buy one but if I get time would prefer to prepare one myself - as need quite a bit to feed 6 plus DD.

As at work I can't get to cook books to find out what I need to buy.

Anyone got any good recipes - nice and easy ones as will have 2yo DD helping bless her!!!

Thank you!

Sorry, didn't read through all oliveoil's recipes, but classic ceasar salad has the basic ingredients of:

olive oil
lemon juice
anchovy paste (or anchovies)
garlic
raw egg
salt
grated parmesan cheese

romaine lettuce (this is the only type of lettuce that is solid enough to stand up to the dressing)

MIx everything but the cheese to taste, dress lettuce, then add cheese.

The secret is to not put too much dressing on (leaves should almost look under dressed) and to do the dressing at the last minute so the salad doesn't go soggy.
