I have decided we are having rabbit for Easter as a change from lamb but I have never cooked it myself, so, I can buy it whole or jointed...any suggestions?

Oh I thought you were talking about one of those nice chocolate rabbits with the gold paper and the red ribbon & bell!

I had a rabbit disaster recently.... will try to find thread.

Might as well buy it jointed as I don't know any recipes where you don't have to joint it.

Don't be put off by this thread

well i want to eat the lindt bunny as well, who doesn't!

That thread doesn't put me off, I grew up on a farm and after a nasty snowstorm when we were away all our rabbits died, so we ate them!

Does no-one have a recipe they want to share?

they are quite tough. Out butcher does them any which way you like - even still covered in fur!

Buy a jointed one and make a slow-cooked casserole with lots of lovely carrots.

Casserole is what I was thinking, but DH will not eat vegetables. At all. Even if I hide them. He won't eat a casserole if it has had veg in it so I have to do veg casserole as well and mix mine and DD's.

(I could kill his mum for allowing this!)
