Does junk food make children act badly, and does healthy food make children more behaved

skittles, coca cola and sugar puffs turn my ds into a demon!

did you see my thread a couple of weeks ago about wotsits and BBQ sauce turning my angel into a devil for an hour?

I'm a bit stuck on the veggie meals - we didn't ever have meat in the house before, but now we have to as I wasn't managing to get ds to eat anything we usually had! Not that I tried very hard - I am pleased to have a fellow meat eater at last!

Sweets and coca cola turn ds1 into a demon from hell, but it doesn't affect the others.

Strangehair, yes I think certain foods can make children badly behaved. I liked the Carol Timperely vegetarian book for children, it's on Amazon.

I don't know about the difference between junk and healthy food. Dd has a combination of both but mostly healthy. What did shock me the other day though was that we bought dd a little bag of really brightly coloured sweets when we were having a lovely day out, as a treat. They must have been loaded with e numbers and sugar or something because for the next 2 hours or so she was totally loopy, completely not like herself. She kept racing up and down a sofa type thing in a gallery lobby, flapping her hands around and screaming. It was really weird, like she was on speed.
