my seven monther is very adventerous re food and is constantly trying to eat what I am eating, he wanted some of my fish cake tonight, he had a mouthful I looked at the sodium content it was very low and had no artificial ingredient - advice please

granny, I'm not sure what you want advice on - I think you are very lucky to have a baby who wants to try different foods and as you are checking the ingredients before you let him try stuff, I don't see a problem. Enjoy the fact that your baby is adventurous when it comes to food - I wish my five year old was!

granny, just be aware that a 'low' sodium content can be deceptive: at that age your ds shouldn't have more than 1g of salt per day, maximum, which is actually only 0.4g of sodium.

It is lovely though, sharing food from your plate with your baby, isn't it .
