What is Bran and where do I find it in the supermarket?

Have a recipe for muffins with bran in. Had a look in Tesco this morning but couldn't find it anywhere. Doesn't help that I don't really know what I'm looking for!

Help!

I'd look at a health food store - you can get oat bran or wheat bran or wheat germ there. It's not sold as just 'bran' here. Looks brown and flaky.
