How posh does it need to be?

TuTu · 01/03/2007 22:38

doesnt need to fancy just something that everyone can tuck in to and clean their plates!

This one is too easy - even my 11yr old can do it on her own.

Mascapone lime Cheese Cake

Pack of ginger nuts crushed with 2oz of melted butter. Pack into loose bottom 8inch cake tin.

Mix 2 pots of mascapone with 4oz icing sugar and zest and juice of 2 limes. Stick it on the top. Chill.

You could do some fancy chocolate flaky bits on top if you feel creative. (dark choc).

Chocolate muffin triffle (with a little alochol!)

4 Chocolate muffins break them up and put them in the bottom of a bowl

Pour over generous measure of cointreau

Mix custard and pour it over making sure that it is level.

Leave it to cool.

Whip cream and spoon over top making pretty patterns on top.

either mash flake over top or buy orange matchsticks and break them up and sprinkle over top.

Yum yum!!!

Nigella Lawsons cheesecake (from the Goddess book), dead easy, really rich and delicious.

Sorry, went to bed just after posting, but these all sound lovely!

Tiramisu is always nice too, and quite easy as long as you have a mixer. If you put chopped up chocolate on top as well as cocoa powder (a la Delia), it looks much more dinner partyish. I always use the Delia recipe which you can get on her website.

Great - just wish you could make these for me now too!

Another really easy scrummy desert is

Large pkt of choc fudge cookies
Can or two of boysenberries
Cream
Chocolate flake bar

Crumble cookies into glass bowl, pour over juice from berries and allow to soak in for a bit, pile on the berries top with whipped cream and sprikle crumbled flake over top.

Eton Mess is my special.

Box of frozen raspberries, strawberries, cream and a pack of merangues.

Crush merangues up and throw in a bowl with raspberries and strawberries. Whip the cream and mix together.

Really quick, easy and tasty.
