roasting jerusalem artichokes

DO i need to parboil them first ? HOw long approx do they take please ??

I parboil them for a couple of minutes as they cook very quickly. I love them but they give me terrible wind!

I parboiled mine for 30 minutes as I was advised it would make them easier to peel - by the time I got them out they were more than ready to be mashed

So 30 minutes is a bit too long

I did them last night - I didn't parboil them ! I peeled them and just bunged them in with the roast potatoes for about 45 mins and they were lovely. Even dh liked them and I wasn't expecting him to so should have done more !!
