Could do very simple stuff. Cook rice - through in some black peper, herbs and some lemon zest and juice. Then cook prawns for a couple of minutes and serve on top. I livke my prawns simply cooked as they taste so good anyway!

And add peas - prawns and lemon and peas work for some reason.

Well last night DH cooked as I was poorly - and even he could manage this (Sorry, DH!) Cook rice. Meanwhile stirfry prawns with whatever veg you have/fancy with a bit of garlic & chilli (fresh, dried flakes, oil, whatever). When rice is cooked stir into prawn mix, add soy sauce and seasoning to taste. Admit this did turn out a little bland last night, guess when I make it I ususally add some spices to the veg & prawns mix, but too thick headed to remember what. Sorry

Have you ever seen Linghams chilli sauce (quite big bottles, sold in sainsbury's, not sure about Tesco as I get from local greengrocer) - it's fab.
Just stir fry prawns/chicken/turkey/quorn/ whatever and bung some on top (not too much - it can get spicy), then serve with rice, noodles, veg stir fry etc. It's well yummy!

I've just discovered doing rice in the microwave - takes just about as long, but nice and easy, cover with 2 fingers of water and stick on for as long as it says on packet. If not done enough add more water - it water left at end, drain in sieve with boiling water - voila!!! Add herbs/spring onions/frozen peas etc.
My mouth is now watering.
