posting in agreement with twig and oliveoil, i make most things from scratch but prefer the fluffiness of supermarket hummous.
unless that's because it's beaten rather than pureed?

tons in my Tesco Metro thingy

BUT only the normal ones, all the low fat ones or any with toppings or mysterious flavours are empty shelves

but that is fine as we don't have low fat anything in this house

wonder if they even took theirs off the shelves then ! Our Tesco is a huge Xtra one , would have thought they'd ahve had a delivery since the weekend if a Metro did.

I had a real thing about it before Christmas and noticed Asda hadnt had any for ages. Wonder if there is a connection.

The nicest tasting houmus is the middle-eastern brands you tend to get in corner shop type places, all supermarket brands are yucky

I've found adding a couple of tbsp of greek yogurt makes it closer in taste to shop-bought. Roasted red pepper home made hummus is very good.
