hi im making a birthday cake for my brothers birthday and have hired a square cake tin but after looking at some of the threads on here everyone has put about dividing the mixture between 2 tins which obviously i would normally do

is it ok if i was to make two batches both with 6oz marg, sr flour and caster sugar and three eggs and then cook one batch at a time but so hopefully that it will fill the tin to the corners

basically is ok to put the mixture in one tin

sorry if this doesnt m ake sense but i have been puking since fri and making a cake is the last thing on my mind but its for my bros 21st

ta

if it is a big tin should be ok. most recipes say how big the tin should be so if the tin is bigger than that it should still rise.
