anyone got a wonderful quick easy recipe to make the meat fall off the bones. I am doing them tomorrow so have time to get the ingredients. Any suggestions?

Garlic, onions, celery, carrots, red wine, boquet garni, flagolet beans, lamb stock and lamb shanks in slow cooker in the morning, ready to eatin the evening (serve with mash potato).

I normally coat them with rosemary then put them in a casserole dish with about 1/2 - 3/4 pint of Lamb stock and cover for about 3 hours. on 160-170 c. checking they don't dry out.

quick isn't in it
the meat is tough and needs to be braised over time.

when I say quick I meant quick to prepare. I wish I had a slow cooker. those recipes sound tasty and yes will serve with mash to soak up all those juices. Mmm am salivating as I type.

i have a diffuser thing for on my hob which takes the temp down considerably for long slow cooking if you don't want to use your oven.
