Very quick sausage casserole question

I'm frying the sausages in a casserole dish with leeks and then was going to bung in some root veg and leave to cook in stock. Which stock would you use? I've got veg, beef or chicken. Thanks

chicken: not to strong, but stronger than veg. but tha's just me!

personally, veg - but any will do the job.

Oati · 11/02/2007 18:23

if they are pork sausages I would use the veg stock

I'd use tomato passata if you've got it. V yummy!

McDreamy · 11/02/2007 18:24

I would also use passata or a tin of tomatoes.

We had a tomatoey casserole yesterday (made with passata, chicken, bacon, oregano, onions and garlic and slow cooked - YUMMY) so I wanted a different one today! Thanks everyone

BTW I say yum but in actual fact I STILL can't bl**dy well taste anything

I use tomato sauce and pasta . Mmmm

Out of your choices I'd say veg.
