soups in the slow cooker??

how do i cook soup in the slow cooker and what recipes can i do? sorry not a very good cook!

leek and potato soup is nice.

cut up 1 leek in slices
peel and chop 4 medium potatoes
peel and chop 1 onion
1 veg oxo
2 tblsp cornflour mixed in a small amount of cold water
boiling water to cover
salt and pepper

Throw all the ingredients into the slow cooker turn on to high.
go out for the afternoon have a fantastic time and come home to find your tea ready for eating. wonderful.

you could also put some bacon pieces into it if you like to add a bit of protein.

great thanks would i have to cook the bacon first?
