for ds' birthday cake... each cake tin is 22.5 cm sq, and tin is 4 cm deep.
Was just planning chocolate sponge, unless anyone wants to be clever - but is so, it must be very 'mouldable', iykwim
TIA

sorry, but oh cake queen, how long will it need to cook? (as obviously, will stop watching it and get distracted at the vital moment...)

I normally use a 4 egg mix with an 8 inch tin and a 3 egg mix with 7 iyswim (so like Mars said but 8 8 8 4)

Liking the 8,8,8 & 4 don't forget to add 2tsps of baking powder and about 4 tbsps of milk.

Shouldn't take more than 30 mins I think. Remember to press the top and if it springs back it's cooked.
