spinach is lovely with fishcakes
or brocolli

Anything green and sharpish as they are quite sweet

mixed leaves are nice with fishcakes imo, rocket, watercress etc. Something with a bit of bite. Oh and sweet chilli sauce.

Yummmmmmmmmmm

meowmix · 06/02/2007 12:26

buttered cabbage

cremolafoam · 06/02/2007 12:27

stirfried rice with peas and onions

I am very nervous about fish. Lots of fish I don't like.

I just eat it cos it's Good For You.

Another vote for rocket type salad. I usual make some sort of soup as a starter then fish cakes and salad. Makes it more filling/warming. Also a fan of sweet chilli sauce (especially if I'm making crab and prawn fish cakes).

we have fishcakes a lot

tend to sit them atop a mahoosive pile of rocket salad

dollop of lemon mayo (or tartare sauce for dh) on the side

We had fishcakes the other day with homemade coleslaw (cabbage, carrot, sultanas), chilli jam, and courgettes. Very nice.

Argh, using the dinner lady's recipe and think I have added too much egg. I bet they are going to be sloppy
