How do you freeze fresh veg??

so it doesn't need to be blanched or anything? was gonna chop it ready etc.

i normall blanch mine first, dont think it freezes as well when its raw.

Wash and chop as necessary then throw it in boiling water for about 3 minutes. Drain it under cold water and freeze immediately. You can then just treat it as frozen veg.

Depends what veg you want to freeze. Some veg doesn't freeze very well, e.g. courgettes, and you are better off making it into soup first, then freezing. The stuff that freezes best is peas and broad beans, but not in season at the moment.

oh no i've done sprouts and am going to do the usual tomorrow - ahve already done 2 quiches 4 pizzas and have a loaf baking so all baked out for tonight! lol.

tomorrow I was going to do carrotts, swede, broc, cauli and leeks. will they work OK?

I beleive you can freeze peppers yes.
