He eats minced beef, sausages, beans and eggs. The only cheese is in cheese sauce. That's about it.

He will not eat: sliced meat ie. roast; diced meat in casseroles; ham; soya, Quorn or other veg alternatives; cheese; fish or offal.

Obviously I keep trying him with the things he doesn't like but in the meantime the rest of the family are beginning to yawn in the face of shepherds pie and chilli.

Ideas anyone? TIA

I also need to learn to spell 'inspiration' properly

Have you tried sliced meat cut into shapes? DS is 3 and will eat ham cars (we have car shaped biscuit cutters) and ham trains (long thin strips for the rails, cherry toms, banana slices etc for the wheels and rectangles for the train.
DD is a carnivore and eats all the left over bits.

If he likes minced beef, he might agree to taste \link{http://www.cowandgate.co.uk/en/article.asp?chco_id=4449&chli_id=\this dish made with minced lamb and once he's got used to it, you could try a grown up version with chunks of meat.

Oops, first time I've tried a link. It's Tania Al-Arari's recipe for Lamb and Apricots, from age 7 months on the Cow and Gate site www.cowandgate.co.uk

I make a Morroccan lamb, almonds & apricots dish and he likes the sauce. Perhaps I'll try it with mince rather than slivered lamb but I'm not huge on minced lamb - I don't like the smell! Still, if it's in a good cause...!

As for fun-shaped food - none of my DCs have ever been induced to eat something new or disliked because I'd made it look like a face etc. More's the pity!
