homemade chunky chips.....

i had a great recipie from an asda magazine but threw it out by mistake. I remember something about soaking the potatoes but couldnt remeber if you had to boil them. Does anyone know how you make them?

If I make my own I do them in the oven so I do pre-cook them in the microwave for a few minutes to speed up the process. If I was doing them in a deep-fat fryer I would cook them from raw...
