cochineal and a handy table

I had always accepted cochineal as a 'natural' colouring, which it is, but hadn't realised that it was made from squashed beetles & their eggs. Anyway, I found this table which I thought I'd pass on -

I'm not anti-beetle by the way, had just always wondered where it came from
