Runny fried/poached egg - I know you feel sick at the thought of it, but it will make you better.

Can of coke always does the trick for me....

oxocube · 28/01/2007 12:20

my brother swears by a Quarterpounder with cheese or Burger King Equivalent and large fries. Must say, I couldn't face it though! Usually, a bottle of diet coke and toast for me. Hope you feel better soon

sweetheart · 28/01/2007 12:23

salt and vinegar crisps!

southeastastra · 28/01/2007 12:37

burnt toast will settle your stomach

sunnywong · 28/01/2007 12:39

Full English and flat coke

aDad · 28/01/2007 12:44

greasy food of your choice, with tomato ketchup.

cremolafoam · 28/01/2007 12:54

another vote for can of coke - tis the cure all
bacon and fried bread if you can face it
water water water to kick start the rehydration process.

grouchyoscar · 28/01/2007 13:31

A further vote for fried and fatty food. Personal choices are a full english fry up (inc black pud if cositution permits) or Fish and chips and mushy peas. Fast track is a bacon sandwich. Ensure all are accompanied wit Tomatgo ketchup.

Basically you need fat to reline your stomach, starch (spuds/bread) for fuel and to replace salts and sugars in your body (Ketchup)

Oh and a big mug of tea and a couple of paracetamols

Hope you had a really good night to warrant the decadence of the curs!

Gotta be a fry up, with a vat of orange juice

WanderingTrolley · 28/01/2007 13:48

Agree with www.

Also try extra strong mints/polos etc for that "gorilla's armpit" hangover breath. Really, your children will thank you.

btw lol at "I only had 5 glasses of wine..."

How big were the glasses?

Sackache · 28/01/2007 13:58

I've just finished a whole litre of Fresh orange, then had sausages and mash.
Hasn't taken my hangover away, but I'm not hungry or thirsty anymore!

Hmm.... actually, when I was hungry and thirsty I didn't think about the other hang over symptoms. Now I'm dwelling on them: lethargy, guts wrenching, dull headache.

Think I preferred being hungry and thirsty.
