415g (235g drained) tin peach halves, in natural juice
120ml/4fl oz double cream
1 handful of ice

Method

  1. Strain the natural peach juice into a liquidiser.
  2. Add 2 peach halves, the cream and ice to the liquidiser.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Serve.

I find banana needs something a bit sharp. Plums are good. So are berries - you can use frozen ones. Kiwi is ok, but a bit startling.

We do banana and blueberries or raspberries with some yogurt and honey. Tastes delicious!

Cheeky bint

We love smoothies in our house and its a great way to get the kids to eat fruit. Have used all the fruits others have mentioned but love them all when you add a spoonful of honey to them.

I did a berry one once (raspberry and blackberry) and it was quite tart. Find bananas and strawberries taste the nicest for kids.

Bananas, scoop of ice cream, with peanut butter or honey.

I think not apples - bit hard and will end up with bits. Stick with strawbs, bananas, rasps, tinned peaches are excellent for cutting too an mush down well. Don't forget you'll need some liquid, cranberry juice is good, not too sweet.

You can also buy tinned mango slices and other tropical fruits. Fresh isn't always ideal, ripeness is important.
