It really made me laugh........
Just had a very unsuccessful but funny lunch.
E didn?t want to know about the pasta which I?d mixed with a little butter and tiny bit of tomato ketchup. So I tried the steamed veg on their own but she?d only eat the one sprig of broccoli. Then we tried a banana, which she scrunched up and rubbed in her hands. Onto a peeled and sliced fresh pear ? which went the same way as the banana. No to the the fromage frais, absolutely no to Lottie?s chocolate mousse. The mini bread sticks even got bunched up in one hand, used as a hammer on the food tray. Desperate, I found a children?s organic carrot and sweetcorn tub ? which she did eat! All this was interspersed with ?dad, dada, dad? at top volume.
I made the big mistake of bending down over her to pick up the pear, and she ruffled my hair ? with hands full of chocolate mousse!
So we?re now upstairs, I've just washed the chocolate mousse out of my hair ? and she?s talking non-stop, wrecking the office as she goes.
I love my Mum and I love my DD2 so so much. I love getting emails like that!
