Borough Market - S. London

I used to live right next to this market and went when it was mainly wholesale. I remember how wonderful it was and I miss it like crazy.

Do any of you go there?

What is it like now?

Does organic veg man still chat up herb lady?

Not much of a post - just am missing my foodie wanders on a Friday afternoon.

I live in bournemouth but work in Southwark a number of days a week.. ...spend quite a lot of lunchtimes wandering around Borough if I'm working up there. An organic chap is there (plump opera singing chap?) but it seems the wholesale stuff happens in the morning and then people set out stalls for selling to the public (mainly on Thu/Fri/Sat). Borough rocks though (apart from the prices sometimes..)

We go sometimes on a Saturday morning. I enjoy it, although I tend to go early and pretty much run through, grabbing things as I go.

They had an Xmas market, and I bought lots of weird preserves and stuff ...

All I can really remember is gettin glovely stuff and spending a fortune - ah london.
