I want to make pasta and cheese sauce for DS2 who is 6.5 months. How do I make cheese sauce? I have never made it from scratch before, don't know where to start, especially for a littlie.

TIA.

I just stirred in some cream cheese but that might be considered cheating

Are you doing BLW - if so some cooked pasta with some melted cheese on will be fine

If not a basic cheese sauce is:
2oz melted
2oz plain flour mixed to a roux
gently stir in 1/2 pt full fat milk
Stir in 4-8oz of cheese to your taste
Add salt/pepper to taste (obv not for baby)

But I am not sure if it's suitable for pasta - it's for cauli

WHen I do pasta with cheese - I drop in an egg - stir quickly then stir in grated cheese

But lightly cooked egg is normally a nono for babies

You need to keep it on the heat while you stir in the milk - it should slowly thicken
