G&b recipe book

got the book for xmas and since it is my birthday next week and my dd requested that I have chocolate cake ( okay I know it is my choice but who am I to deny her)

anyone tried the recipes?

I would like a reccommendation, but really like the idea of just talking about chocolate

I'm tempted by the brazil nut and chocolate cookies. Might try to make them this weekend. (I got it for Xmas too ... I'm not that mad for Chocolate, but there are some tempting recipes in there ...)

Ok, I made the biscuits today. Not that impressed. But then, they give timings, and say "be sure not to overcook". Yes, because baking timings are always useful, and they give no instructions for how to tell when they're cooked enough. I overcooked them . They are ok, but not lucious.
