of course there are no Ben-10 things in the UK .. have had to import his christmas & b'day pressies from US

so suggestions on how to make the cake

this is Ben-10

am thinking either watch

I'd make a plain round cake and consult these or these people...

StrawberrySnowflakes · 11/01/2007 14:41

local bakers here will actually scan a picture onto the cake and convert it into edible(well full of additives)decoration..try your smaller local ones like(here we have) peters cathedral bakers, clebrations etc..good luck

Kelly1978 · 11/01/2007 14:42

sains or asda do that sometimes too

Skribble · 11/01/2007 14:51

Asda do it if you get a good clear quite bright pic it comes out quite good.

Twiglett · 11/01/2007 14:56

do you think they'd do it with a copyright image though?

get him a TV for his bedroom

MrsBadger · 11/01/2007 15:22

certainly worth asking...

StrawberrySnowflakes · 11/01/2007 15:58

i know our baker would do it..im sure if you just didnt bring the subject up, although i did and she said she didnt have a prob!

Twiglett · 11/01/2007 18:37

actually, and I know this makes me sound like a nob.. I've never really liked those pre-printed plates you just stick on top of a cake

I like the cakes that look home-made .. like they took swearing and umphing and wetting of icing and thumbing it over to close a hole

do you know the type? the type that looks like a 1-armed, no-eyed armadillo made it

that's the kind I'm good at

filthymindedvixen · 11/01/2007 18:46

round home-made cake, horrid green icing rolled on top, black ring round edge, black sillouhette of alien in middle made from black icing. There you go

mummyhill · 11/01/2007 18:47

Asda won't use a copyrighted image

gigglinggoblin · 11/01/2007 18:55

asda wont but ebay sellers will!

can you draw/paint? buy a pack of new paintbrushes and just paint onto fondant with food colour

foxinsocks · 11/01/2007 19:00

tricky - you could do normal round victoria sponge and then either do what filthymindedvixen suggested or do the Ben 10 logo (which looks fairly easy but necessarily that impressive iyswim)

foxinsocks · 11/01/2007 19:00

not necessarily
