Ds (aged 2yrs)has eaten a sausage. He is waking up at 4.30 am EVERY freaking morning for milk. I want him to eat 3 tiny bits of potato (was a handful but I've taken the rest away) as dh are getting sick and tired of getting up for him because he's hungry and won't eat his tea. So now he won't eat it, i've told him he can have something else if he does and he's not. Am I being a complete idiot, should I just give in and give him something else or does that just give the 'if you tantrum you get what you want message' ARGH

ps of course if I don't let him have anything then all he will have had is the sausage and nothing else (like banana etc) to fill him up.

All good ideas Bozza, 7am is a bit early for dd though I think. We should definitely be going to bed earlier but you know how it is, by the time children are in bed, have cleared up, made tea, eaten tea...need I go on?!

Ah well I meant early night as a one off so you are more prepared for the early morning battle. Later than 7 is fine for breakfast, earlier is not!
