Whats the difference between unsmoked and smoked gammon in terms of cooking. Is it that the unsmoked won't be so salty, and therefore won't need the pre-soak before cooking. Just wondering, as I've bought some unsmoked and want to know if I can cook it tonight or not. Thanks.
