Recipe help for milk allergic 8 month old

Hello wise-mums. I'm new to the recipe section and wanted to introduce myself and get a bit of advice.

I have a 3 year old who eats anything and everything which is great. However my 9 month old is allergic to cows milk but bizzarely can eat butter and cheese with no reaction. (We are seeing a consultant on Tues). I am getting a bit stuck for ideas for mealtimes though. I've tried lots of stews etc which she happily eats and eats a variety of veggies. Just a bit stuck for inspring finger food and other recipies. Any ideas?

Oh, and she's still breastfed so I'm not using any hypoallergenic formula and she spots other forms of milk a mile off and refuses them! Little wotsit!

Hi, I have a dd who is dairy allergic. What makes you sure she is if she can take butter?

Can give you lots of advice re: recipes if you like?

hi mum2alice,
if you go to www.babyledweaning.com there are quite a few finger food ideas there. i recommend the chickpea burgers!

At 9 months I would probably stick mostly to cooked veg as finger foods. You could also try things like homemade fish goujon or mini fish & potato cakes.
