I'm looking for some ideas for dinner tomorrow
Something nice and yummy but not too complicated
We can't go out as I still have flu and we've no babysitter

Any suggestions?

Well, I'm making beef casserole (not v romantic though). Mind you, I have feeding 3 hungry kids in mind, not an evening of passion!

We are cheating and having Gressingham Duck in a citrus sauce from JS.

With homemade Garlicky Potatoes and veg.

oxocube · 31/12/2006 12:54

Sound nice, Sherlock

TheBlonde · 31/12/2006 12:54

I have also decided to cheat - got beef wellington from M&S

dh is making

scallops rolled in parma ham and seared
rolled pork medallions in a rosemary jus with spinach and mash
strawberries soaked in balsamic with sugar and pepper and served with whipped cream

nowhere to go as have 3yr old and 4mth old and up every night (as u do at this stage).Life has taken a quiet home time turn for now. Thought we'd TRY & have a nice evening just the 2 of us when both dd's in bed.

aDad · 31/12/2006 13:07

snap melsy. well, we're not having the same foods as you, that would be spooky. But we have a 3 yr old and a 10 week old, and are staying in this year too.

Veggie Indian extravanaza for us and obligatory champagne, and hopefully a quiet spell to consume it in!

The blonde any ideas for tonight now?

aDad · 31/12/2006 13:16

M&S beef wellington sounds nice, and more importantly, no fuss!

melsy · 31/12/2006 13:20

Tonight DH and I are having a small buffet of party food (yum yum) and then tomorrow I shall be cooking a full roast beef lunch.
