My bread machine recipe book tells me to use powdered skimmed milk which obviously works really well, but I've run out and can't buy it here. Can I use formula milk????!!!!! Would that just be really revolting, would it not work for some clever milk chemistry reason, or would it be OK? Anyone done it?!

formula tastes like s*#t so i wouldn't do it tbh

Have used formula in tea when I've run out of milk, but it is sweet. Why not give it a go? Even if it doesn't work, at least you'll know!

We stopped using powdered milk in the breadmaker recipes ages ago and haven't noticed an appreciable difference in the taste and the bread still bakes fine.
